About Robin

Welcome to CASE COUNSELING ! My name is Robin Case and I have been in private practice for over 30 years ( or since 1988 ) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor ( LCSW-S ) since 2006, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist ( LMFT ) since 1993. I have maintained an office in Flower Mound, Texas since 1991 and have clients in various cities in Collin, Denton, Dallas, Tarrant, and Wise County, Texas.

WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU

I offer In-Office, face-to-face therapy and counseling as well as Virtual Therapy. I am an experienced therapist with a good reputation as a clinical social worker, reunification therapist, child custody evaluator, adoption evaluator, and child custody consultant among my colleagues in private practice, members of the legal community, and numerous satisfied clients.

I specialize in supervising master level social workers who are seeking to become licensed clinical practitioners, and I specialize in providing therapy to other therapists who experience life’s ups and downs on occasion; no one is immune from life changing events. My third specialty is Adoption Evaluations and Child Custody Evaluations and providing consultation to clients who are seeking guidance or recommendations on how to navigate through the child custody evaluation process. I consult with clients who are involved in the initial court proceedings involving divorce with children, and I also consult with clients who have complex difficulties involving modifications of an existing parent-child relationship and possession order.

I am well qualified under the Texas Family Code to conduct Adoption Evaluations and Child Custody Evaluations and enjoy a good reputation with the district court judges in Collin and Denton County, Texas. In addition, I am certified as a counselor for New Ways For Families in Denton County, Texas. This program is a structured parenting skills method, or approach to understanding and managing high conflict individuals involved in divorce and separation cases that are before the court. Finally, I am a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts ( AFCC ). AFCC is an interdisciplinary and international association of professionals dedicated to the resolution of family conflict.

I am also an advanced clinical practitioner with a master level education, extensive psychotherapy experience, and years of continuing education in social work, marital therapy, and numerous component areas of the social science and human behavioral field. As an advanced clinical practitioner, I have experience in diagnosing and outlining treatment plans to address DSM-V disorders and issues that often present themselves in individual therapy, family therapy, and marriage / couples therapy.

I have demonstrated a lifetime career passion and commitment to serving people through psychotherapy and brief interventions; the duration of therapy depends on the needs of the individual client or family. I am committed to helping clients overcome addictions to drugs and alcohol and sexual addictions; to finding healing and therapeutic help for eating disorders, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias and ADD / ADHD disorders. I am devoted to helping clients develop communication skills that are necessary for them to work through issues or concerns related to blended families and couples / family counseling, parental support, adolescent and teenage parenting conflict issues, and work / career related issues.

LET ME HELP YOU navigate through life’s obstacles!

I have been described by clients, colleagues, and peers as one who has a positive “don’t give up, the glass is half full – NOT half empty spirit.” I have a “Can-Do” attitude. I have also been described as welcoming and warm, open-minded, encouraging, non-judgmental, BUT I am also a direct therapist, who combines her education, years of experience, creativity, and down-to-earth sense of humor to tailor a realistic approach to counseling. Whether I am using play therapy techniques with young children or complementary therapeutic approaches and behavioral therapy techniques with teenagers and adults, I will provide a personalized, grounded approach to help clients achieve their stated objectives for personal growth and healing. I love referring clients to books, podcasts, apps, and online tests to help clients through the therapeutic process.
